
Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions (“Agreement”) govern the use of services provided by Pathfinder Professional Driver Training (“Driving School”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). By booking, purchasing, or participating in any driving lesson or training program, the student (“Student”, “you”, or “your”) agrees to the following terms.
SERVICES PROVIDED
Pathfinder Professional Driver Training provides:

In-car driving instruction;
-
Road test preparation;
-
Vehicle familiarization;
-
Road test vehicle use (if applicable);
-
Other related driver training services.
Services are subject to instructor availability, weather, vehicle availability, and safety considerations.
ELIGIBILITY
Students must:
-
Hold a valid BC learner’s licence or driver’s licence appropriate for the lesson type;
-
Carry their licence during every lesson;
-
Meet all legal requirements to operate a motor vehicle in British Columbia;
-
Be medically and physically fit to drive safely.
Students under 19 years of age may require parent or guardian consent.
BOOKINGS & PAYMENTS

Payment is required in advance to secure lesson bookings;
-
Prices are subject to change without notice;
-
Outstanding balances must be paid before additional lessons are scheduled;
-
Accepted payment methods may include cash, e-transfer, debit, credit card, or other approved methods.
All pricing is in Canadian dollars unless otherwise stated.
CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULING POLICY
- Minimum notice required for cancellation: 24 hours;
- Late cancellations or missed lessons may be subject to fees;
Instructor Waiting-Time
Students are expected to be ready at the scheduled lesson start time. If a student is late for a scheduled lesson:
- The instructor will wait up to 15 minutes; unless otherwise pre-arranged
- The lesson will still end at the originally scheduled time;
- No additional time will be added to make up for student lateness;
- If the student fails to attend within the waiting period, the lesson may be considered a missed appointment and may be charged in full.
Instructor Cancellations
If the Pathfinder Professional Driver Training cancels a lesson due to instructor illness, vehicle issues, weather, or unforeseen circumstances, the student will be offered:
- A rescheduled lesson; or
- A credit or refund where appropriate.
STUDENT LATENESS POLICY
Students are expected to be ready at the scheduled lesson start time.
If a student is late:

No additional time will be added due to student lateness;

Failure to attend within the waiting period may be treated as a no-show and charged in full.
REFUND POLICY
Pathfinder Professional Driver Training is committed to providing professional and reliable instruction. Refunds are subject to the following terms and conditions:
Individual Lessons
- Refunds will not be provided for completed driving lessons.
- Lessons cancelled with the required notice period may be rescheduled without penalty.
- Lessons missed without proper notice (“no-shows”) are non-refundable.
- Late arrivals by students do not qualify for partial refunds or additional lesson time.
Lesson Package Refund Policy
- Refund requests for unused lessons within a prepaid package must be made in writing.
- Completed lessons within a package will be charged at the regular individual lesson rate before calculating any remaining refund balance.
- Any promotional discounts, bonus lessons, or free lessons included in the package may be removed from the refund calculation.
- Refunds are only available for unused portions of lesson packages.
Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be processed within 3-5 business days using the original payment method whenever possible.
RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE
Pathfinder Professional Driver Training reserves the right to terminate lessons or refuse service due to:
-Unsafe behaviour;
-Harassment or abuse;
-Impairment by drugs or alcohol;
-Repeated policy violations.
In such cases, refunds may be denied.
ROAD TEST VEHICLE USE
Use of a Pathfinder Professional Driver Training vehicle for an ICBC road test is subject to:
-
Instructor approval;
-
Vehicle availability;
-
Student preparedness and safe driving ability;
-
Full payment of applicable fees.
The Driving School reserves the right to refuse road test vehicle use if safety concerns exist.
STUDENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Students agree to:
-
Follow all instructor directions immediately;
-
Obey all BC traffic laws;
-
Wear a seatbelt at all times;
-
Avoid distracted driving;
-
Treat instructors respectfully;
-
Refrain from aggressive, unsafe, abusive, or illegal behaviour.
Lessons may be terminated immediately without refund for unsafe conduct.
IMPAIRMENT POLICY
Students must not attend lessons while impaired by:
-
Alcohol;
-
Cannabis;
-
Illegal drugs;
-
Prescription medication affecting driving ability;
-
Fatigue or illness impairing safe operation.
Instructors may cancel or terminate lessons immediately where safety concerns arise.
LIABILITY WAIVER
Driving involves inherent risks including collisions, injury, property damage, and other hazards.
To the fullest extent permitted under British Columbia law, students voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation in driving instruction and release Pathfinder Professional Driver Training, its owners, instructors, employees, and contractors from claims, damages, losses, or liabilities arising from participation, except where prohibited by law.
TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS & DAMAGES
Students are responsible for:

Traffic tickets;
-
Parking violations;
-
Legal penalties arising from their actions during lessons.
Intentional misconduct, reckless behaviour, or illegal activity causing vehicle damage may result in financial liability not covered by insurance.
WEATHER & EMERGENCIES
Lessons may be cancelled or rescheduled due to:
-
Severe weather;
-
Unsafe road conditions;
-
Mechanical issues;
-
Instructor illness;
-
Emergencies beyond reasonable control.
The Driving School is not liable for resulting delays, missed appointments, or indirect costs.
PRIVACY POLICY
Personal information may be collected for:
-
Scheduling;
-
Instructional records;
-
Communication;
-
Insurance purposes;
-
ICBC-related services.
Information will be handled in accordance with applicable Canadian and British Columbia privacy laws.
PHOTO & VIDEO CONSENT
Pathfinder Professional Driver Training may use photographs or videos for promotional or educational purposes only with student consent.
Students may opt out at any time in writing.
RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE
The Driving School reserves the right to refuse or terminate services for:

Unsafe behaviour;
-
Harassment or abuse;
-
Threatening conduct;
-
Impairment;
-
Repeated policy violations.
Refund eligibility in such cases remains at the sole discretion of the Driving School.
GOVERNING LAW
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the laws of Canada applicable therein.
SEVERABILITY
If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By booking or participating in driving lessons with Pathfinder Professional Driver Training, the student confirms that they:

Have read and understood these Terms & Conditions;

Agree to comply with all policies;

Understand the risks associated with driving instruction;
-
Accept these Terms voluntarily.
